Formed in 2014, Boss’ Daughter is one of the hardest working bands in the underground punk scene. They’ve played over 675 shows across ten countries, and forty states, with major headlining and underground acts like Rise Against, Pennywise, Jeff Rosenstock, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, The Ataris, Larry And His Flask, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Ultrabomb, and many more.

Simmering in punk, they create their own undefinable sound with harmonizing gang vocals, haunted screams, catchy melodies, and a thrashing, crusty edge, all topped with a sprinkling of horns. One thing’s for sure, Boss’ Daughter is on a mission to make sure everyone is having a good time.

The group started as Fox’s solo project but quickly blossomed into a trio-with Chris Fox, Danny Paul, and Jamie Locks, while occasionally featuring John Underwood on horns (2016-2019). They released their debut album, Songs Are Songs, in 2015 and followed up with 2016’s Sleep EP.

For the next couple of years the band constantly toured, playing everywhere from bars to large venues and festivals including Montreal’s Pouzza Fest, SBÄM Fest in Wels, Austria, and Florida’s The Fest, which they’ve played six years in a row. The boys have also appeared on Sirius XM's Faction Punk, Bridge City Sessions, and Reno’s own, Worst Little Podcast.

Releases over the next handful of years include three 7" records, 2019's Ace of BAC/DC b/w Built Up To This, 2021's Old Friends four-way split 7" on Iron Fest Records, and 2022's Okay Photography on SBÄM Records.

In February of 2023, Boss' Daughter released Bouts With Bummers on SBÄM Records, 16 blazing tracks of pure punk rock that finds the band a little older and wiser but still fueled by their “maximum party time” mantra. Recorded at Pus Cavern by Joe Johnston (Cake, Cobra Skulls) and mastered at Atomic Garden Recording by Jack Shirley (Jeff Rosenstock, Deafheaven), "Bouts" covers the challenges of today’s complex world–climate change, social media overload, loneliness–with their signature upbeat, fast paced sound. 

“Photography,” "Okay," "Away," and "Embrace Impermanence" have all been in regular rotation on Sirius XM’s Faction Punk. The lead track from "Bouts With Bummers," "Never Alone," has received airplay on MTV Germany. Boss' Daughter also hosted an episode of "Six Strings Of Punk" on Sirius XM’s Faction Punk.

On March 21, 2025, Boss' Daughter released a split 7" record with Big Time from Seattle, WA titled "Party Twister" on Asteroid M Records. 

Following a DIY tour of Europe in 2025, Bossy D has started to release a series of singles which will ultimately build into their next full-length LP.  The first single, "Trrrraaaaiiiiiin!," released in February of 2026 is about tour in Europe and where the band mostly traveled by train. The latest single, "More Than Meets The I.C.E.," is about fuck I.C.E. 

The band plans to continue releasing singles through out the year, as well as returning to the road for a US tour in the fall to once again play The Fest in Florida.
